Newport on the Levee

Awesome views of Cincinnati from Newport on the Levee. This is right in front of the Aquarium. Snapped a few pictures after lunch where we enjoyed yummy grilled cheese and tomato soup from Tom & Chee. Of course we finished the afternoon with fudge and salt water taffy from the candy shop, too.

I think he had fun!

The Newport Aquarium

The Aquarium is Dave's favorite place to take Simon, but today we went as a family and showed Grandma all the awesome creatures!

Gymboree

It's a Gymboree day! Simon has been dying to show Grandma his Gymboree center!  We go once a week and have lots of friends, and fun here!  We only got one picture, because we were all to busy playing!

For dinner we made one recipe from our favorite California cookbook and another from our new Kentucky cookbook... Coffee rubbed pork tenderloin and a rice pilaf. We ate the food before we remembered to take a picture! Sure was yummy! And fun to combine local and seasonal flavors from each state.

Simon's first cinnamon roll- he wasn't so sure at first! But we reminded him that his mom slaved for 3 hours in the kitchen...

 and he wanted more, and more, and more...

until he was properly satisfied!!!
